Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 August 2026
These terms govern your use of iesourcing.com and any Free Sourcing Direction Check, Factory Intelligence Pack, Supplier Verification Pack, sample coordination or order management service you order from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Who you're contracting with. IE Sourcing is a trading name of Influence Exchange Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14946489), registered office Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, England, M2 3WQ ("IE Sourcing", "we", "us"). You can contact us at admin@influence-exchange.com.
1. What IE Sourcing is
IE Sourcing is a China-side sourcing consultancy. We help clients find, compare and negotiate with manufacturing suppliers in China, and coordinate samples, private labelling and production orders on their behalf. We are a sourcing intermediary and agent for our clients — we are not a manufacturer, importer, freight forwarder or reseller, and we don't take ownership of, or title to, any goods at any point.
2. Our services
- Free Sourcing Direction Check — a no-cost initial assessment of whether your product idea is realistically sourceable, delivered within around 1 working day.
- Factory Intelligence Pack (£249) — screened supplier routes and comparable real quotations for your product, delivered in around 2–3 working days.
- Supplier Verification Pack (£499) — a deeper comparison across up to 5 supplier routes with a structured report and recommendation, delivered in around 3–5 working days.
- Sample and private label coordination, and first order management — quoted and scoped individually once you decide to proceed with a supplier route.
Turnaround times are estimates for standard, relatively straightforward products. Complex, technical or ODM projects, or projects involving multiple unrelated SKUs, may take longer and may require a custom scope and quote — we'll always tell you before extra charges apply.
3. Placing an order
Paid packages are purchased through our secure checkout, processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in GBP and include everything described on the pricing page unless we agree a custom scope with you in writing. Once payment is made, you'll be asked to complete a project brief with full product details — the more complete this is, the faster and more accurate the resulting Sourcing Intelligence pack will be.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the Free Direction Check is free, so there's nothing to refund; paid packages are refundable in full if cancelled within 24 hours of payment and before we've started supplier outreach, and non-refundable once work has begun.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you would normally have a 14-day cooling-off period for services bought online. Because our paid services begin promptly at your request, you'll be asked to expressly confirm at checkout that you want work to start immediately and that you understand you lose the standard 14-day right to cancel once that work is under way. This doesn't affect your other rights under UK consumer law.
5. What we do and don't guarantee
We work to find you the strongest available supplier routes based on the information you give us and what's realistically available in the Chinese supplier market at the time. However:
- We don't guarantee that any particular price, minimum order quantity, lead time or supplier will ultimately be available once you're ready to place a production order — supplier pricing and capacity change over time.
- We don't guarantee the quality, safety, compliance or performance of goods produced by any factory. Where we arrange quality inspection before shipment, this is a reasonable check, not a certification, and doesn't replace your own product compliance obligations in your target market (e.g. CE, UKCA, FDA).
- Contracts for the manufacture and supply of goods are between you and the relevant factory, or are managed by us as your agent under a separately agreed scope. We are not a party to, and don't guarantee performance of, the underlying supply contract with the factory.
- Freight, insurance, customs duty, import VAT and destination customs clearance are your responsibility unless we've specifically agreed in writing to handle them as part of your order.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, complete information about your product, budget and requirements. Incomplete or inaccurate briefs are a common cause of delay or a supplier route not being the right fit.
- You're responsible for making sure any product you ask us to source complies with the laws and safety/certification requirements of the country you intend to sell it in.
- You won't use IE Sourcing to source goods that are illegal, counterfeit, or infringe a third party's intellectual property rights.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your product ideas, briefs and project details as confidential, and share only what's necessary with suppliers to obtain accurate quotes on your behalf (see our Privacy Policy for more detail on data sharing). We may reference anonymised, non-identifying details of past projects (for example in case studies on this site) but will never disclose your identity or identifying project details without your permission.
8. Intellectual property
Sourcing Intelligence packs and reports we deliver to you are for your own business use in evaluating and pursuing your sourcing project. The content, design and branding of iesourcing.com belong to Influence Exchange Ltd and may not be copied or reused without permission. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any product design, tooling or intellectual property developed with a third-party factory — those arrangements are between you and the factory, or as separately agreed.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded or limited under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or losses arising from a factory's failure to perform.
10. Website use
You may not use this site in a way that could damage, disable or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it, including submitting automated or fraudulent form submissions.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as our service changes. The version in effect at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.

These terms are provided as general guidance and do not constitute legal advice. They're drafted in line with standard UK practice for an online sourcing consultancy, but we'd recommend a solicitor reviews the final wording — particularly Sections 4, 5 and 9 — before this is relied on as a binding legal document.
